Is President Trump trying to bankrupt the US (part 2)?

I wrote previously asking if President Trump is trying to bankrupt the United States. The current national debt (what our country has borrowed) is about $40 trillion. Of that, $3.18 trillion has been added in Trump’s second term in office, which is not even half way through. $7.88 trillion was added from his first term

You would think this would be a priority for any president to REDUCE the national debt, since we have to pay interest on what we borrow. Currently we arepaying $1 trillion annually in interest.

Trump is simply spending like a drunken sailor, probably subconsciously guided by his own history of 6 bankruptcies. Here are a few other things he’s either spending or trying to spend our tax dollars on:

$275 billion to build Trump-class battleships, even though the Navy says they are a relic of the past.

$100 billion going back to businesses because of illegal tariffs

$11 billion for Navy icebreakers, to be built by Finland

$4 billion to paycompanies NOT to build windmill projects that were already in the works

$1.776 billion slush fund for people Trump designates have been mistreated by the US justice system (read: January 6 rioters)

$1.4 billion to have the National Guard walk around Washington DC ($200 million alreadyspent on this)

$400 million plus for a Qatar 747 upgrade – the plane that was given to Trump for his library?

$150 million to a Trump-related legal resource company to represent migrant children who are without their parents

$5 million to gild Washington DC statues

Unknown amount to tear out and re-do the just completed helicopter pad at White House

So is Trump worried about this? Apparently not, since it’s estimated the US has spent $151 million on Trump’s golf trips so far in his current term.  Trump owes approximately $100 million in back taxes, and he is fighting hard not to have to pay that.

Trump’s term still has 2 ½ years to go, remember. How much more debt will he pile on the backs of tax payers? And will Congress every chime in somewhere?
